Messer is the Pioneer in Thermal cutting machine Industry, what is the latest in your offering, and how do you handle the Market dynamics? 

Yes, Messer is Pioneer in the thermal cutting machine industry. What started as a very humble Oxy torch business in the year 1898 has grown into a multi-billion business conglomerate worldwide in 123 years. We always strive to be ahead of the market by seeing the world through our customer Eyes. We balance and master the two worlds of contradictions i.e., the world of Innovation and world of excellence, and this is what is driving us to continue to be pioneer in any emerging technology in metal cutting industry. It’s all about blending excellence and innovation in every part of business. Hence, we are committed to be the pioneer in future as well to bring out the latest in this industry to the customers.

Constant and consistent collaboration with the customers and ever-growing hunger for excellence ensure that Messer Dynamics syncs well with the market dynamics. Being a consultant and solution provider for the complex needs of the customer is the hall mark of Messer which no other company can boast of. We nurture Value driven Relationship with our customers. In last few years, the demand for laser cutting machines has been consistently growing and we came up with both Gantry and Unitized laser machines that made us the only international company having the complete thermal cutting solutions with all the three technologies – Oxy-fuel, Plasma and Laser. We have also diversified into value added products like the Plate Processing machine where we offered the cutting process combined with machining processes like drilling, milling & tapping, etc., to make a complete component on machine.

 

How do you meet major expectations of clients from the players in your Industry? 

The highest product quality, faster delivery, best service and lowest price are the expectations of customers universally. In the prevailing highly volatile and uncertain market and economic scenario, the customer’s preferences, and priorities changes rapidly. We must be fully prepared to meet the challenges head-on. As explained previously, our close collaboration and rapport with the customers make it simple for us to foresee it and get prepared to face it. In our country, cost plays a big role in decision making. But in our experience, if you justify your cost with the values you offer, customers are ready to pay the premium. Also, we have been successful in acquiring decent market share because the running cost of our products are lower over its life cycle. Most of the competitions are trying to be innovative in the product and technology – but their service network is not robust. Especially, most of the imported machines come with barely low or NO after sales support. Here, we have a big edge over the competition with well positioned and well-trained country wide service network. Similarly, majority of the clients are looking to increase the productivity of their plant while keeping the cost to bare minimum. Apart from our superior product quality, our after sales support including Visual, and virtual service and IoT based solutions play a vital role in achieving higher productivity which as mentioned above, most of the players are lacking currently. 

 

How has the company been successful in becoming a global supplier of cutting-edge solutions for the metal-working industry? Tell us about being a technology leader manufacturing CNC Plasma and Laser Cutting Machine in India.

 It has always been a challenge to be continuously successful worldwide being a Global solution provider. Our focus has been always on creating the backend support system and continuously upgrading it which includes R&D, application engineering, product management and Solutions management. We have a dedicated team in our R&D working for Industry 4.0 and the IoT solutions that helps us to stay ahead of the curve. 

 

Yes, you are right that we are the technology leader and the market leader in Plasma and Oxyfuel cutting machines worldwide. Whether we produce in India or in America or in China, our machine quality is the same. We do not produce machines without having the right infrastructure to produce the right quality products. But we do not claim ourselves a technology leader in laser Cutting machines though we were the pioneer there also – Messer was the first company to make a laser cutting machine way back in 1970 and since we felt that the world is still not ready for that, we continued to focus on the plasma and Oxyfuel technology. We have decided to enter laser business back in 2011 and now we have products in laser that can be compared well with the present industry leaders. 

 

Various features and benefits of products that can be reaped by your clients? Tell us with respect to your Oxyfuel, Plasma, and Laser Cutting machines. 

Our machine comes with our own aggregates – that means other than Laser and Plasma resonators and the Motors all aggregates on our machine is our own products. That makes us the real OEM – not integrators

 

As far as Plasma/Oxyfuel, 

  • We have many technological advantages as compared to our competitors and our machines are highly productive, more reliable and cost effective. 
  • Apart from this, we have strong application experience in sectors like windmill, yellow goods, ship building, transmission towers, beveling and many others. 
  • Our machines will produce quality/ accurate parts at minimum cost.
  • This makes us to provide optimum solutions to our clients which can be more productive.

 

As far as laser machines are concerned- 

  • Our laser products are offered in different formats, like Unitized and Gantry type machines along with Bevel solutions depending on customer needs.
  • We also produce Laser machines in combination with Plasma Process. 
  • Our laser machines are cost effective compared to the industry leaders with comparable features and benefits. 
  • Our laser machines can be integrated with automated solutions like Auto sheet loading and unloading and sorting & storage of finished parts.
