Endress+Hauser aims to double India revenue by 2020

 Swiss instrumentation and process automation company Endress+Hauser has announced that the company is looking to double India revenue to ` 800 crore by 2020 by undertaking smart cities projects. 
Speaking at the announcement Sajiv Nath, MD, Endress+Hauser (India) said, “Our entire strategy of doubling the revenue by 2020 hinges on water and energy management projects in art cities. We have initiated talks with civic bodies for tie-ups on these projects in the proposed ecological urban spaces. Around 55 per cent of our revenue focus will be on smart cities initiative.”
The company has earlier worked with the water supply department of Pune Municipal Corporation in a project aiming to provide a boost to the water resources and largely address the problem of water shortage in the city. The company has been associated with similar projects in the states of Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh.
“Endress Hauser is planning to invest 7-8 per cent of global revenue worth € 2.1 billion in research and development globally and our India operations will benefit the most with the technology transfer. We are aiming to achieve exports worth ` 1,000 crore from India operations to South East Asia, South Africa and Australia,” informed Matthias Altendorf, Global CEO, Endress+Hauser.
Endress+Hauser is in the process of expanding its capacity at Aurangabad factory by half to cater to expected rise in work flow, heeding the government’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Smart Cities’ mission. The company is investing ` 30 crore approximately on the capacity expansion that is expected to be completed by October.
